Sid

Sid, knocked down once and got up twice.

Not loud, nor boastful.

Tills the land,

plows the fields,

tends the fences.

Wants not.

Needs are met.

Greets the day in a sun hat,

trousers tied with string.

A wide meadow,

carrying the weight,

and the seasons overhead.

Sid in openness,

a witness to unpretentious strength.
